Building a child’s executive function
At Kids U, we believe that the world needs an informed approach to early learning, especially when it comes to the development of executive function. And that’s why we developed a state of the art, research based, Brain Metric Measurement.
Unlike any other preschool where a child’s intelligence is measured via reading, speaking & writing skills and that too at the end of the term; we pay attention to the core components of the brain that actually lead to the development of a child’s reading, speaking, comprehension and listening skills.
And guess what, our system follows a continual approach to assessments which means that the child’s intelligence is tracked right in the beginning to serve as a benchmark and then on a periodical basis to gauge continued progress.
-
Stage 1
We will observe the child closely to determine their executive functions. Parents are encouraged to provide their input based on home observations.
-
Stage 2
Then, through our brain metric measurement, we determine how a child’s executive functions are developing in terms of their working memory, cognitive flexibility and impulse control.
-
Stage 3
Based on the brain metric measurement, the child’s abilities and parent input, we set up the appropriate individualized program for each child with the right balance of Left Brain, Right Brain and Movement programming.
The Brain Metric Measurement helps you see what’s underneath a child’s reading level or math comprehension. It shows where the brain itself needs to develop to underpin social skills, language, science, creativity, you name it.
