    Myla Soliman started as Kids U McKnight's junior preschool teacher. She has over 25 years of experience in childhood education, in both local and International Montessori and Conventional Schools. This includes several years of experience as a Preschool Coordinator, Academic Head, Class Montessori Lead Directress and Assistant Guidance Counselor. With a Bachelor of Science in both Education and Psychology from St. Paul University, Myla also has a Master of Arts in Child Studies and has certificates in several levels of Montessori. Myla has developed age-appropriate programs for her preschool students which she has employed in both international and Montessori settings and currently uses her vast knowledge as a part of the Program Implementation Team to educate all centres.

    Lori Slachta-Tompkins has a multitude of experience teaching children since first obtaining her Bachelor of Education from the University of Lethbridge. With a major in General Elementary Education and a minor in Drama, Lori brought heroutgoing personality and a flair for the dramatic to the Right Brain room at McKnight as a lead teacher. Prior to joining Kids U, Lori's work experience allowed her to train extensivelyin the Reggio Emilia-inspired philosophy of teaching and she has gained a true passion for it. After almost two years working with children in the Right Brain classroom, Lori has taken over the position of helping to build Kids U curriculum and implement it throughout all seven Kids U centres.

    Laura Parkinson is the Program Coordinator at Kids U Mcknight. She has an extensive history working with children spanning almost 8 years,from being a summer camps to out of school care. Laura has always been drawn towards teaching and early learning as early learning is a very important stage of a child’s development to create lasting memories and set them up for future success, making her perfect fit within the Kids U organization.

    Jaskiran Kaur began her Kids U career as a Right Brain lead teacher in the and has now taken over the position of program supervisor in the Infant and Jr. Preschool side. Jaskiran has over 5 years of experience working with children, and training staff on curriculum and the importance of play and relationship.

    Child Development Worker (Level 2) from Lethbridge College

    Cassondra Stapor is Kids U Braeside's Program Coordinator. She has always loved the administrative atmosphere, but her main passion is working with children. Cassondra holds a Level 2 Child Development Worker certificate from Lethbridge College and is currently obtaining her Level 3 Child Development Supervisor certificate. With a mix of two years of administrative experience and over six years working with children ranging from infant to school age, Cassondra brings hard work and passion to our New Brighton centre.

    Bachelor's Degree in Applied Child Studies from Mount Royal University

    Lauren Frederick's experience in the child care setting spans over 6 years and includes working in summer camps, daycares and out-of-school settings. Her love for spending time with and teaching children led her to obtain her Bachelor's Degree in Applied Child Studies from Mount Royal University, and she has been working with children ever since. Lauren is Kids U Walden's Program Supervisor.

    Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology and a degree in Secondary Physical Education

    Celeste McIlhargey was formerly Kids U McKnight's preschool gym teacher, and program supervisor with a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology and a degree in Secondary Physical Education. She has over 10 years of teaching experience, and her educational career has taken her all the way to Kenya, Africa, teaching physical education to high school students. Her vast knowledge of the Kids U curriculum and passion for "brain building" has led her to assume a position within the Program Implementation Team, where she is able to share this knowledge and passion with all of the centres.

    B.Ed in Physical Education and Health from McGill University in Montreal

    Katherine Viltofsky holds certifications to teach physical education and health at both elementary and high school levels. With a Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Education and Health from McGill University in Toronto, Katherine has over 10 years of experience working with children in schools, working in the child care department in the form of after-school programs, and held the position of Lead Movement teacher at Kids U McKnight before taking over the Program Supervisor role.

    Child Development Assistant Level 1 Certification from the Western Montessori Teachers College and Accounting & Financial Management Certificate from Bow Valley College

    Maureen Singh has been working in the administrative side of early childhood education for over five years, and is Kids U West 85th's program coordinator. With her Level 1 certification as a Child Development Assistant and her years of experience, Maureen is the face up front for both our kids and parents.

    Bachelor of Arts in Education from Kyungin University in Korea

    Kay Son has a Bachelor of Arts in Education from Kyungin University in Korea. Born and raised in Seoul, Kay has 17 years of teaching experience at the elementary school level. She supplemented her degree in Education with teaching courses at Bow Valley College and uses both the Reggio and Montessori methods of teaching. Kay's journey with Kids U began as an infant reggio teacher, to program supervisor at the Kids U Bridgeland infant centre, to her current position within the Program Implementation Team, specializing in infant programs and curriculum.
